Just a note to say I've been busy reviewing books for the July/August issue of berniE-zine, my little ole book review site. Four new reviews posted... whew!
The site was selected by Writer's Digest as one of the 101 Best Web Sites for Writers for 2005, so I'm pretty excited about that. Not that it's meant anymore traffic than usual. Summer is a big slump as far as the web site is concerned. I know everyone must be outside enjoying themselves. I don't blame them. That's where I'd be if I didn't have to update my book review site.
Okay. Now that this is done, I'm off to read a little before bedtime. I'm reading New & Selected poems by Howard Nemerov. He's one of those poets I've not read, but feel like I should. So far, I've been enjoying his work a lot. Will I review it for berniE-zine? Maybe, maybe not.
If you're in search of some "hot off the press" contemporary poetry, The Word Works has just published Blue Cowboy by Jonathan Vaile and Broken Like Job by Donna Denize. You can buy copies at http://www.wordworksdc.com.
